Recently, FreedomPop was acquired by Red Pocket Mobile, a pretty standard MVNO that operates on all 4 major U.S. cellular carriers. Although I initially thought that this might be the end of my free phone plans, it looks like Red Pocket is dedicated to keeping the freemium based plans, which is great news! I am so excited to see this happening. There have not been many disruptions as of late in the free phone plan market, so this is a rare occasion for The Freemium Fellow! Go Red Pocket!
