In the future, I hope to write a post about Keep, a note taking app made by Google that has bettered my life for free. However, today I wanted to write a quick post about something I found in my Google Keep “archives” that I had completely forgot about.
Being that I have been using Keep for well over three years now, I have quite the collection of notes. Honestly, it’s pretty cool scrolling through and looking at all my recorded thoughts. The most beneficial part about why I use Keep is that I am able to write down my thoughts freely and readily. For some reason, it just works better than paper or other note taking apps for me.
One habit which I have developed by using the app is to write down something if it pops into my head at night. Sometimes I have a poetic thought that comes to me as I am drifting off to sleep or, in rare cases, actually develops while I’m sleeping. Either way, my body is some how able to wake up and write down a few lines of what at the time of writing it down, seems like gibberish. It is actually really strange, but I have come to enjoy what I call a Flash of Freemium.
Here is the note, which was written at an odd hour at 3:01 A.M. on October 12, 2015:
That is it. That’s all I wrote.
There doesn’t always have to be context for everything. At least I can now say that good things can happen at 3 A.M. You know you are hooked on something if you wake up in the middle of the night and write something down about it.
